Well that isn't a good enough excuse when they already have the ability to sell V-Bucks as Gift Cards, as well as a system to redeem the codes for such anyways. This is detouring Parents like myself away from Epic Games and would instead spend their money on something like a Steam gift card instead. Sadly not everyone has a Debit card, and most of the time myself included I don't want to have that risk of giving out my banking information to something that I myself won't use. It baffles me that there is no simple method to provide your child or a fellow gamer the ability to purchase a "GIFT" Card for "Epic" so they can get a game of their choice and still have that surprise factor that makes it a gift. As successfully as Fortnite is and how they're able to make gift cards involving V-Bucks why not make gift cards similar to, Steam, Blizzard, League of Legends, Xbox Live, Roblox, Origin, WOW, Maple Story, Runescape, EA gift cards, and even other weirdly inserted yet existing gift cards such as Wizard 101, IMVU, Animal Jam.Įven Nintendo sells over a dozen gift cards containing a digital redeem code for a Nintendo Switch game as well as Nintendo E-shop Gift cards too.Ĭreate a system where the V-Bucks gift cards can be redeemed as virtual currency with the option to redeem a video game if Epic Games is too lazy to create their own gift card system. Epic Games should really implement a series of redeemable gift cards.
