


I've followed the instructions to the letter but it doesn't seem to like the syntax for some reason. There is a second method on that page but that won't work wither.

I've tried using Disk Maker X, but the older versions don't build El Capitan disks and the newer ones won't run on snow lepord Opens a new window Apparently this is because older versions of OSX don't support this command. I've tried using terminal to do it as per Opens a new window, but I get error (9999, 0) formatting the disk. We have a 2011 iMac with OSX 10.6.8 on it, and I'm wanting to do a clean install of El Capitain (the newest version of OSX that our backup software will support.) However, I'm having a nightmare creating a bootable USB.įirst issue was getting my hands on a download through the app store, it only really wanted me to download Seria.
